2023: Almost 90, 000 PVCs unclaimed in Jigawa – INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, said about 98,890 Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) are uncollected in Jigawa State.
State residents Electoral Commissioner (REC), Professor, Muhammad Lawal Bashar disclosed this at the flag-off of the PVC distribution at the INEC headquarters, Dutse.
He explained that about 98,890 PVCs are uncollected in Jigawa state out of which 34,636 are new and 64,254 are old PVCs oned.
Professor Bashar said the distribution commenced on 12th December 2022 and will end on 1st January 2023 at all the commission’s local government and registration areas in the state.
He, therefore, urged the people of the state to visit their registration areas for the collection of their PVCs ahead of the 2023 general election
