2023: Atiku responds to Wike’s promise of “logistics support” to Obi
Senator Dino Melaye, Spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Management Committee, questioned Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s sincerity in demanding “justice” from the party’s leadership on Saturday.
Track News recalls that, ahead of the 2023 elections, a displeased Wike pledged on Thursday to provide the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, with “all logistics supports” required for his campaign in Rivers State.
Governor Wike made the announcement in Port Harcourt during the commissioning of a flyover in the state.
Melaye responded by pointing out that both the presidential candidate and the National Chairman of the Labour Party (Julius Abure) are Southerners.
“Two days ago during Peter Obi’s visit in PH, Wike of Rivers state stated that he would give Peter Obi support during presidential election,” he wrote on his verified Facebook page.
“The National Party Chairman of the Labour Party is from the South.” The presidential candidate hails from the South. Their DG hails from the south. Southerners hold the majority of their national positions.
“Where is the justice Governor Wike is referring to?” It’s time to see your family again, my brother.
“By the grace of God, Atiku Abubakar is the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
