2023 election results: Obasanjo laid foundation for shambolic polls – Sowore

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore has slammed former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his latest letter condemning the outcome of the Presidential election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is currently collating results from across the country after Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.
There have been reports of massive rigging of the process in some states, especially in Rivers where the Governor was said to have hijacked the election in favour of the All Progressives Congress, a party he vowed to deliver in the state.
The same situation has been reported in several other parts of the country and this is despite the promises of free, fair and credible election made to Nigerians by INEC.
INEC told Nigerians that the BVAS would be used for the 2023 election and that results would be transmitted electronically, according to provisions of the electoral act 2022 (as amended).
Obasanjo, in his statement on Monday, condemned the process and called for the cancellation of the results
But Sowore said the former President lacks the moral right to talk about free and fair elections, adding that the situation was worse during his time as President.
“Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has no credibility to talk about fraudulent elections. Ex-Pres Obasanjo organised some of the most fraudulent elections during his 8-year tenure as President of Nigeria.
“He laid the foundation for the shambolic elections that have become Nigeria’s lot now!” He tweeted
