2023: “I Have National Agenda” – Obasanjo Speaks On Presidential Choice

Mohammed O. Taoheed reports,
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the
former President of Nigeria, has debunked various claims of support for any presidential candidates gunning for the 2023 general elections.
Obasanjo disclosed that he does not have a preferred candidate but a national agenda that will aid the country, thus claims of his support for any aspirant presidential seat ahead 2023 are fake.
He made this known on Sunday during his visit to Abdulsalam Abubakar, the former Head of State of Nigeria and a brutal military leader, in Niger State.
According to Obasanjo: “I don’t have a special candidate, I have a national agenda.”
When asked why he came to Minaa, Obasanjo stated that he was there to visit his brother who had been sick.
His words: “I came to see my brother who has been a little indisposed. I had plans to visit him when he was still in London, but the day I arrived in London was the day he returned home.
“So that is why I decided to come and see him at home. He is very special so I had to come.
“If there is anyone who is indisposed, I will visit and I am still strong.”
Track News Nigeria reports that the former president arrived at Abubakar’s residence at 12:30 and left at1:13 pm.
Recall that there have been various speculations that Obasanjo is supporting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
