2023: Obidients Lauds Ozigbo For Joining Peter Obi

The Peter Obi Support Network has praised Valentine Ozigbo, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2021 Anambra State governorship election, , for joining the Obedient Movement.

When asked why he joined the Obidients Movement, he explained that a competent and good leader must be elected at a critical time like this in the political history of the country.

The Spokesperson of the Labour Party candidate, Onwuasoanya Jones, in a statement issued yesterday and made available to Track News Nigeria, thanked Ozigbo for supporting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, describing Ozigbo as a patriotic Nigerian who is passionate about building a working, progressive and united nation,

Equally, he said that the formal endorsement of Obi’s candidacy pointed that he was an optimistic patriot with a passion for a better and working Nigeria, adding that the endorsement of Obi was long overdue.

Thus, he called on other patriots to imitate the Ozigbo’s action and join the ‘Obidient’ campaign in order to prevent the country from going into imminent disaster.

Part of the statement comes: “He is a patriotic Nigerian who is passionate about building a working, progressive and a united nation, and it is not in any way a surprise that he has made his declaration to join the most popular and most promising people’s movement in the history of Nigeria’s Fourth Republic politics.

“We have always known that his heart has been with this movement and we welcome him with joy and assure him of our absolute cooperation in ensuring that this movement is piloted to success for the benefit of all Nigerians.

“This is not the time to sit on the fence, this is a time for every true Nigerian and lover of progress to take a stand with the people and participate actively in salvaging the fate of our dear nation.

“Like Chief Valentine Ozigbo, many other Nigerian patriots have put Nigeria’s interest above their personal political and pecuniary interests, by aligning with the best presidential candidate in this election, and it is our hope as an organisation that more political leaders and statesmen will break off the shackles of partisanship and join in the mission to save our nation.”
