2023: Ohanaeze Announces When Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi Will Be Selected

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the leading Igbo sociopolitical organization, will choose which candidate to endorse in Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.
According to information obtained by Tracknews , the choice would be announced during the 2022 Igbo Day celebration in Aba, Abia State, on September 29.
Sons, daughters, and leaders from the seven Igbo-speaking states are anticipated at the event, according to a statement by the secretary general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
“On September 29, 2022, all Igbo priests will lead the prayers, while Igbo Governors and officials from the seven Igbo-speaking states would be the honored guests.
Nkpa Kanu-Uduma, the head of media in the Office of the Secretary-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, issued a statement on Isiguzoro’s behalf stating that “Ndigbo in their numbers are anticipated to attend this very significant occasion in their numbers.”
An important announcement on the candidate to support for the 2023 elections will be made at the event, according to a source who was quoted by the Daily Post about the upcoming event.
“Aba has a rich history in everything Ndigbo-related, which is why it was chosen to host the 2022 Igbo Day event.
The source stated that “there will be a gathering of Ndigbo from the seven speaking Igbo States, during which a crucial statement would be made.”
According to reports, the Ohanaeze has limited its options and is anticipated to choose between Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
