2023: Omokri Reacts, Says Nobody Washed Away Atiku’s Footsteps In Adamawa
Mohammed O. Taoheed reports,
Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide and social media influencer, has debunked various reports alleging that some angry youths in Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State washed away the footsteps of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of the country, from the area.
Some media houses, not Track News Nigeria, cover that Abubakar Sadiq Kurbe, the North East Zonal Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Media Support, wrote on his Twitter page yesterday, that some youths protested against Atiku’s return to his hometown.
In a tweet accompanied by a picture, youths were allegedly seen using water and soap to cleanse the areas that the Atiku went to while he paid a visit to the Jada village.
His words: “Adamawa Youths cleansing the Jada Road after Atiku’s visitation. Atiku couldn’t construct the road as Vice President but he is passing through the same road President @MBuhari constructed to ask for our support, how is that possible.”
BUT, in a bitter reactions to the tweet on his Twitter handle, Omokri disclaimed the statement and described the tweet as mentally lazy propaganda.
He expressed that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is loved by his people.
According to Omokri “How would anyone believe this mentally lazy propaganda that youths washed Atiku away from his hometown, Jada? Even look at the photo presented as proof. 12 boys, who could have been from anywhere. No placard or sign. Sadly, some are so desperate to believe the propaganda.”
