2023 Presidency: South-West Has Qualified Leaders, Tinubu Not One Of Them – Bode George

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has berated the leadership quality of the National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the elder statesman, the South-West region has a lot of leaders qualified to become Nigeria’s next president. He, however, said Tinubu was not one of them.
www.tracknews.ng understands that George stated this while interacting with The PUNCH on Monday, January 10.
The former Deputy-Chairman of the PDP mocked the presidential ambition of the former Governor of Lagos State, saying the politician’s move of becoming the next president of the nation is a huge joke.
It was reported earlier that Tinubu had met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja to inform the leader of his intention to join the 2023 presidential race.
Reacting, however, to Tinubu’s ambition, George said: “This so-called ambition must be a huge joke. The Presidency of Nigeria is not for characters like Bola Tinubu. Look at how he mismanaged the resources of Lagos State.
“It is surprising that he can even dream of becoming the President of Nigeria. He is living in cuckoo land.”
George said the APC chieftain would be surprised to see how things will go and how he will be double-crossed by those he is resting his back on to achieve his ambition.
He added that it would be an insult for the South-West, which is the most sophisticated region in the country, to settle for Tinubu.
George also said it was unfortunate that a hallowed ground like the Presidential Villa would be the location for Tinubu to declare his ambition.
