2023: Reno Omokri Reveals Why PDP May Lose Presidential Election
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri on Sunday revealed why the Peoples Democratic Party might lose its chance of regaining power in the 2023 general election.
According to the former aide to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan said the main opposition party will lose if the All Progressives Congress zones its presidential ticket to South West and the PDP zone its ticket to a region with lover voting strength.
Omokri in a post on his Twitter account took out time to analyse how the PDP can lose the electoral process and what it has to do to regain power in the 2023 general election.
The former presidential aide further stated that politics is a game of numbers, not sentiments.
He wrote, “The 2019 election by voter numbers:
NW: 8.2 M
NC: 4.4 M
NE: 4.3 M
SW: 3.8 M
SS: 3:2 M
SE: 2.09 M
“If APC gives their ticket to the SW, PDP will LOSE if it gives its ticket to any zone with a lower voting strength. Politics is a game of numbers, not sentiments!”
The PDP is hoping to regain power in the 2023 general elections after losing out to the APC in 2015, meanwhile, the APC is striving hard to remain in power at the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
