2023: “Shettima Is Most Qualified For Tinubu”– Buhari Support Group

A leading team of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) popularly known as the Forum of Buhari Support Group (FOBS-G) has expressed their joy over the emergence of Kashim Shettima as the running mate to the party’s presidential standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, comes the 2023 elections.
As seen in a statement on Sunday in Abuja signed by its Chairman, Dr. Abiso Kabir, it has that the decision of Shettima over others is a step in the right directiion while highlighting some of the feats of the former Borno State Governor, especially in curbing terrorism.
In his words, Kabir noted that Shettima is an economist and a politician has all the qualities to back up Tinubu and drive the country to its peak of glory.
“With the approval of the National Security Adviser and the Nigerian Army in 2013, his government formalised establishment of youth volunteers called the Civilian JTF.
“The volunteers have played a very significant role in supporting the military in the ongoing fight against Boko Haram insurgents.
“He approves salaries, kits and patrol vehicles for the civilian JTF while at the same time giving so much support to the Nigerian Armed Forces has so far been driving key changes in the affairs of the forum with focus on promoting northern unity and reviving ailing industries belonging to northern States,” he stressed.
Recall that Tinubu has earlier proclaimed the choice of former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima as his running mate comes 2023 presidential election following a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State on Sunday.
