2023: Why I want Atiku, not Tinubu or Peter Obi, to be President – Dino Melaye

Senator Dino Melaye, a pro-Atiku campaigner, stated that the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, towers above other aspirants in the 2023 presidential race due to his proven track record in both public and private life.

Melaye made the remarks while speaking to a crowd of party supporters gathered for the Diamond Ladies in Politics dinner, public declaration, and induction ceremony on Saturday at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Abuja.

According to him, there is no basis for comparing Atiku to the All Progressives Congress candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who is one of the race’s front runners, because Atiku has demonstrated over the years that he is better prepared to solve Nigeria’s problems.

Melaye, who described Labour Party candidate Mr. Peter Obi as a fantastic Nigerian, dismissed him as a recent social media sensation brought to the national political stage by Atiku.

“I am happy that everyone here is singing one son, and that is Atiku for President,” the former federal lawmaker said. Many people are already voting on social media, but INEC does not have a voting center on social media.

“Atiku supporters are genuine and unique. They are visible, and they are made of PVC. This election features two very important candidates. The APC’s Atiku Abubakar, Wazirin Adamawa, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu

“Unfortunately, both of them are extremely wealthy, but there is a distinction. Atiku is a billionaire with a business, whereas Tinubu is a billionaire without a business. Atiku is a billionaire with a sense of enterprise because he has a background in agriculture, education, oil and gas, media, manufacturing, and banking.

“However, the other side (Tinubu) has money but no initiative.” Atiku Abubakar has met the federal government’s constitutional requirement that anyone running for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria be physically and mentally fit. I can’t say the same for the other person (Tinubu).

“At 75, what new would Atiku be looking for other than to lay the groundwork for the next generation to have a life they can call their own?” So this capable Nigerian, who is highly mobile and administratively astute, is on his way to change the narrative.

“Obi is a fantastic Nigerian, but he was unknown to the rest of the country until Atiku identified him.” Atiku is a talent scout. Everyone who was a reformer in this country from 1999 to the present was an Atiku discovery.

“Atiku discovered Obi before the keyboard warriors.” Unfortunately, elections will not be held on social media. It will take place at the polling stations. And those who would vote are present. As a result, operation votes must now be counted.

“He is the only presidential candidate with prior presidential campaign experience.” All of them are running for the presidency for the first time. Kwankwaso, Obi, Tinubu, and others have all been mentioned. Atiku has previously taken this path. He understands, and by the Grace of God, he will triumph.”

Earlier, Atiku, who was represented at the event by his daughter Maryam, urged Nigerians to vote in large numbers for the PDP.

“His excellency Atiku Abubakar is all about the youth,” she said. As a result, all women and youths must participate in nation building, particularly in the upcoming election. Atiku would return the country to its rightful place.”

In her welcome address, Princess Maimunat Wada, convener of the Diamond Ladies in Politics, pledged to mobilize at least 2 million votes for Atiku in the presidential election.

She also stated, “With Atiku Abubakar at the helm of the country, there will be inclusiveness of Nigerians regardless of tribal and religious affiliations.”

“Atiku’s selection of His Excellency Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate, his array of business partners, investments spread across the country, and even the ethnic backgrounds of his spouses are clear testimony that he would be a true Nigerian president.”

“As of today, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar is the only candidate who has released a clear and unambiguous roadmap to the country’s economic recovery.”

She explained that this simply means he is the most prepared presidential candidate in the race.
