Hon. Prince Ebiuwou Jackson, Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State and State Coordinator of SDD Connect, has congratulated Governor Douye Diri on the occasion of his sixth year in office, praising what he described as a record of transformative leadership and people-focused governance.

In a statement marking the anniversary of the Prosperity Administration, Jackson commended the governor for delivering impactful projects and policies that have reshaped Bayelsa’s development trajectory. He said the administration’s achievements over the past six years demonstrate preparedness, vision, and commitment to service.

According to him, Governor Diri’s leadership has been defined by deliberate investments in infrastructure and human capital development. He noted that the governor’s legacy projects reflect a clear determination to reposition Bayelsa as a leading state in the federation.

Jackson highlighted the construction of the iconic nine-storey multipurpose secretariat complex as one of the administration’s landmark achievements. He described the project as a bold initiative aimed at prioritizing civil servant welfare and providing a befitting workplace for the state’s workforce.

He stated that civil servants remain central to the effective functioning of government. By improving their working conditions, he said, the administration has strengthened institutional efficiency and morale within the public service.

The Senior Special Assistant also pointed to the ongoing construction of the three senatorial roads as evidence of the governor’s resolve to fast-track development. He said the roads are strategic in addressing long-standing rural-urban connectivity challenges across Bayelsa.

He explained that improved road infrastructure has enhanced access between communities, facilitating the free movement of people, goods, and services. This, he added, is gradually closing development gaps and stimulating economic activities in previously underserved areas.

Jackson further applauded Governor Diri for sustaining peace and unity in the state. He noted that the prevailing atmosphere of harmony reflects the governor’s qualities as a unifier and advocate of peaceful coexistence.

He said the administration’s commitment to making Bayelsa an attractive destination for investors is evident in the Independent Power Supply Plant project. According to him, stable electricity is crucial to industrial growth and business expansion.

The power initiative, he stated, will boost investor confidence and position Bayelsa as a competitive hub for commerce and enterprise. He described it as a forward-looking step that will strengthen the state’s economic foundation.

Speaking as a native of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Jackson expressed appreciation for the completion of the Polaku-Sabagreia Road. He described the project as long anticipated and vital to linking communities situated along the East-West Road corridor.

The road, he said, had suffered years of abandonment before being revived and completed under the present administration. Its completion, he noted, underscores the governor’s resolve not to leave any part of the state disconnected from development.

Jackson stated that Bayelsa’s rising profile among states performing strongly on various development indices is attributable to quality leadership. He said the Prosperity Administration has consistently demonstrated dedication to sustainable growth and inclusive governance.

He emphasized that the cumulative impact of the administration’s projects is evident across sectors, from infrastructure to public service reforms. These efforts, he added, have placed the state on a path of steady progress.

On behalf of his family, members of SDD Connect, and well-meaning youths of Bayelsa State, Jackson extended warm wishes to Governor Diri on his sixth anniversary in office. He expressed optimism that the coming years would bring even greater milestones for the state under the governor’s leadership.
