“I Can Never Be Anti-Obi” — Momodu Denies Rift, Says Atiku & Obi Not Enemies

Dele Momodu, a former Chieftain of the PDP and Elderstateman has taken to his official X handle to express his support for the former governor of Anambra State and ADC Chieftain, Peter Obi. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he also pointed out that he was never against the former governor.

The former governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi recently added to his support base after respected Elderstateman, Dele Momodu dismissed notions that he was against the former governor.

This came amid the controversies that trailed the choice candidate for the ADC presidential ticket in 2027, with many believing that Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi or Nasiru El-Rufai stood a better chance.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, the founder of Ovation Magazine pointed out that contrary to public perceptions, he can be be against the former Anambra governor.

He further pointed out that he rendered support when erstwhile presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar picked him as a running mate in 2019. The former Anambra governor and Atiku Abubakar, according to Dele Momodu were not also enemies.

Regarding the relationship that exist between the two ADC heavyweights, Dele Momodu pointed out that they always treat each other with mutual respect both in private and in the public.

“I can never be anti-Obi. The first time I supported Obi when Atiku picked him as running mate…..” He wrote.
