ASUU President urges Nigerians not to vote for candidates who have children living overseas.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Nigerian students were cautioned not to support politicians whose children are enrolled in universities abroad by Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
This information was disclosed by Osodeke on Wednesday, August 17, at a Twitter Space Webinar that Premium Times organized and was titled “ASUU strike, Revitalization Fund, and the Way Forward.”
He suggested that students should not vote for politicians who would not support their interests as a means of ending ASUU strikes.
“Anyone you think cannot look after your interests, whose children are busy studying overseas, who are living abroad, I repeat, you don’t need to vote for them, because you don’t vote for those who will take your life,” stated Osodeke.
