Gunmen assassinate the aide of a council boss in Lagos.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
At a party in Lagos, unidentified gunmen assassinated Francis Olagoke Oguntulu, the deputy chief of staff to Kehinde Oloyede, chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area.
The LG CEO reportedly made this revelation on Sunday in a statement, claiming that Oguntulu had been shot at and attacked with an axe on Adeyemi Street in Oshodi on Friday.
According to reports, Oguntulu’s wounds caused him to die early on Sunday.
The council leader expressed his sorrow over the death of the person, adding, “A devoted, amusing, and constantly pleasant man has fallen victim to the cold grasp of death. When we learned of the death, we were rudely surprised. We beg the Lagos Police to ascertain the precise cause of the death and ensure that those accountable are brought to justice in order to serve as a message to those considering horrible crimes.
“I beg our party members and all the residents of our beloved council to remain calm as we mourn Goke because we have asked the Police to inquire into the incident. We won’t stop hunting for anything in this circumstance. We will work closely with the police as they carry out their investigations to determine who committed the act.
The only persons left to take care of the deceased Oguntulu are his aging parents, his wife, his three children, and brothers.
