APGA goes spiritual for Anambra State House of Assembly
By Adeleye Kunle
Victor Oye, National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has urged party members at home and abroad to seek the face of God on behalf of members of the Anambra State House of Assembly in order to avert what he called “the hand of death that has struck the House,” following the murder of two of its members in three months.
In a signed statement, Oye prayed for God’s mercy on the House and urged all members of the party to participate in a three-day fast and prayers for peace, growth, and development ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“The times we live in are perilous and necessitate constant prayer, self-examination, and penance,” he said.
He also asked the House leadership to join in the prayer and fasting because “I see God doing something new in the House soon.”
The APGA boss also expressed condolences to the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Speaker of the House, Uche Okafor, and all House members on the sudden death of the Majority Leader, Nnamdi Okafor, in South Africa, and prayed for the repose of his soul.
