Tuchel: Three clubs ex-Chelsea manager could join, as Henry, others give verdict on Boehly

By Adeleye Kunle
The sacking of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea manager last week sent shockwaves not only in the English Premier League (EPL) but also through European football.
Track News reports that Chelsea, under the leadership of new co-owner, Todd Boehly, made a ruthless decision by sacking Tuchel just 100 days after succeeding the ousted Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, at Stamford Bridge.
Boehly took the decision to dismiss the German, who led Chelsea to a second UEFA Champions League crown merely 16 months ago, last Wednesday morning, after the Blues’ 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb last Tuesday.
The German will be keen to return to football as soon as possible after his unexpected sack at Chelsea, as big European clubs will be keen to sign him.
Track News takes a look at three possible destinations with Tuchel now back on the market.
1. Leicester City:
The Foxes have lost five and drawn one out of their six Premier League games so far this season.
Their manager, Brendan Rodgers, who was appointed back in 2019, is among the favourites to be next up for the sack, and while the Leicester job may not currently come with the same prestige as his previous post, it would give Tuchel a ticket to remain in the Premier League.
2. Real Madrid:
Real Madrid is another option for Tuchel, but the German would require some patience.
Carlo Ancelotti is currently the manager of Real Madrid. Still, the Italian has already stated that the Los Blancos job will be his last and while his contract runs until 2024, there is always a chance that the former Everton and Bayern Munich coach could walk away at the end of the current season.
3. Bayer Leverkusen:
Bayern Leverkusen is also an option for Tuchel to return to his home country.
The Bundesliga outfit, who finished in third position behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund last season, appears to have gone rusty under manager Gerardo Seouane this season.
They have suffered four defeats in their first five games so far this season and are co-hovering above the relegation zone.
Bayern Leverkusen could be Tuchel’s next club if the 49-year-old is keen to return to his homeland
