All the ethnic communities of Akwa Ibom State residing in parts of Cross River State converged in Calabar, the state capital, for a carnival procession to mark the 35th anniversary of the state’s creation.

They came under the aegis of Nka Afid Ndito Akwa Ibom in Cross River State in their numbers and state colours.

They rolled out drums and rode on long, decorated trucks blaring songs accompanied by dexterous dance steps from their young men and women.
