2023: Obanikoro, Wale Edun, Kaka, Badru, others meet Gbenga Daniel in Ogun

By Adeleye Kunle
A former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun; former Deputy Governors Gbenga Kaka, Salmot Badru and Yetunde Onanuga, on Sunday, met with former Governor Gbenga Daniel in Ogun State.
The politicians were at the senatorial campaign flag-off of Daniel at the Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu.
Track News reports that Mr Wale Edun was at the occasion to represent the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Daniel is the senatorial candidate of the APC in Ogun East.
Others at the event were Senator Ganiu Solomon; Prince Gboyega Isiaka; Remo House of Representatives member, Adewunmi Onanuga; former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Dare Kadiri and others.
However, Governor Dapo Abiodun and other government functionaries were conspicuously absent at the event.
Also, leaders of the APC in Ogun and Ogun East were not at the function.
Our correspondent who was at the event reports that this may not be unconnected with a directive from the APC Chairman in Ogun, Yemi Sanusi, that all candidates should not flag off their campaigns until further directives from the party
