On Sunday, Kebbi State Governor Alhaji Atiku Bagudu praised the students of Command Science Secondary School, Girls, Goru, Birnin-Kebbi, the state capital, for their high level of discipline, confidence, and courage.
Bagudu praised the students at a special luncheon held as part of Birnin-62nd Kebbi’s Independence Anniversary.
“I am pleased that the school is making a name for itself in the state and throughout the country.”
“The school is fostering a culture of discipline, mutual support, and trust.”
“Previously, the children were terrified of abduction, which was fueled by some false social media reports.”
“But, thankfully, they were courageous and braced up against the fear,” he said.
He believes that students should be proud of themselves as a component of success.
During his personal interactions with the students, Bagudu expressed his delight that they had requested more girls to join them at school.
He stated that his administration was more concerned with education, particularly for girls.
He urged the students to speak up at all times, saying that no one had the right to make them feel uncomfortable.
“School is a place where you should be happy and pursue your interests.”
