16 suspected internet fraudsters nabbed after protest against EFCC arrests in Delta

A total of sixteen suspected internet fraudsters, arrested by the Police in Ughelli, Delta State have been transferred to the State Command in Asaba as the Chairman of Ughelli North Council, Olorogun Godwin Adode imposed a dawn to dusk curfew in the town.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali disclosed this during a chat with newsmen, Wednesday.
Ali said he visited Ughelli to assess the damages done by the suspected internet fraudsters in Ughelli during the protest against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The Police Boss debunked rumours that the Police killed the person who was allegedly shot dead during the protest, saying, “Policemen are very professional in handling situations”.
Track News had reported that one person was shot dead as suspected internet fraudsters staged protests against officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC over alleged harassment.
It would be recalled that during the protest, the suspected internet fraudsters destroyed several properties and set trucks belonging to citizens ablaze
