According to the Defence Headquarters, an air strike by Operation Whirl Punch at Yadi in the Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State killed terror kingpin Ali Dogo and scores of his foot soldiers.

The airstrike on the terrorist was revealed in a statement released on Tuesday by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, who stated that the operation was carried out based on credible intelligence.

Following the continued bombardment of his location in Niger State, he and his fighters were said to have relocated to Kaduna State.

He went on to say that on the same day, following intelligence of some terrorist leaders and their foot soldiers congregating under tree covers for a meeting in the Northwest of Mando, Kaduna State, the Air Component also bombarded the location, neutralizing scores of terrorist leaders and foot soldiers.

“The military high command commends troops of Operation Whirl Punch and encourages the general public to provide troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities,” he said.
