EPL: I apologise, you’ve proven me wrong – Agbonlahor begs Arsenal star
By Adeleye Kunle
Former Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor has apologised to Arsenal defender, Ben White after calling him ‘overrated’ and ‘absolutely dreadful’.
The England defender has been in top form on the right side of the Gunners’ defence this season and was outstanding in the 3-2 victory over Liverpool on Sunday.
Agbonlahor had slammed White before the start of the current campaign over his poor first season at Arsenal.
White joined Arsenal in a £50m deal from Brighton, and Agbonlahor had claimed that the 25-year-old lacked pace and aggression.
But Agbonlahor has revised his verdict on White, saying, “I want to apologise to Ben White,” he told Track News.
“I have given him a bit of stick recently, in the past year, but he’s been outstanding at right-back.
‘Nothing gets past him, and he’s decent on the ball as well.
“Credit to Ben White because he’s proved me wrong
