17 WWC: Flamingos battle Germany for third place

Nigeria’s Flamingos will slug it out with Germany in the third-place match at the 2022 U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.
The Flamingos and the Germans lost their semi-final ties in the competition on Wednesday.
The Nigerian girls lost 6-5 on penalties to Colombia after their keenly contested game ended in a 0-0 draw in regulation time.dR
Bankole Olowookere’s girls were one kick away from victory in the game.
Germany on the other hand lost 1-0 to Spain.
The Germans conceded a late goal against their fellow Europeans.
The third-place match will be played in Navi Mumbai preceding the final between Colombia and Spain at the same venue on Sunday
