EPL: Harry Maguire rates Manchester United under Ten Hag
By Adeleye Kunle
Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire, has admitted that he believes the Red Devils are heading back towards where they want to be in the English Premier League following a recent run of good results under manager Erik ten Hag.
Man United have enjoyed a solid run during October, aside from their 6-3 derby defeat to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium at the start of the month.
Ten Hag’s men have won five out of their eight games this month, including an impressive 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
However, Maguire, who made his long-awaited return from injury for the second half of Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League 3-0 victory over Sheriff Tiraspol, believes the Old Trafford club are moving in the right direction under Ten Hag.
“It’s great to be back,” Maguire told the club’s club website. “Being injured is always a tough part of being a footballer, but I have been kicking every ball on the sidelines, cheering every goal that’s gone in and supporting the lads.
“We have picked up some good results, and we are pushing [to] where we want to be in the Premier League as well. We have got important games coming up, and that is what it is all about
