Women lawyers pledge commitment to women’s rights in Ekiti

The International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA in Ekiti State has restated its commitment to the protection of women’s and girl child’s rights.
The association’s chairperson, Mrs Oyinade Olatunbosun, stated this in Ado-Ekiti when she led other executive members of the group on a courtesy visit to the governor’s wife.
She explained that issues affecting women and children, most especially, the girl child, remain the concern of the association as such were attended to without collecting a dime from those that were negatively affected.
“Our officers do travel to rural areas even through public transport to seek redress for victims of rape, molestation and other forms of gender-based violence,” she said
