Qatar 2022: Patrick Vieira defends inclusion of Maguire in England squad

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has defended Gareth Southgate’s decision to have Manchester United captain Harry Maguire in England squad for Qatar 2022 World Cup.
According to Vieira, the United centre back deserves a place in England’s World Cup squad.
Pundits have slammed Southgate for the decision, saying that Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi should have been listed instead of Maguire.
“Regarding Marc, what he has to do is to keep being consistent with his performances,” Vieira told the press ahead of Crystal Palace’s clash against Nottingham Forest.
“Marc, if you compare him to Maguire, the difference is that Maguire knows [things] that international level which Marc doesn’t know yet.
“The manager [Southgate] has to make a decision about what he wants for that tournament.
