World Cup: Messi makes honest confession after Argentina’s win over Mexico

Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has made an honest confession following his side’s World Cup 2-0 victory against Mexico on Saturday night.
Messi admitted that his team lived with discomfort following their World Cup 2-1 loss against Saudi Arabia in their first game of the tournament, adding that they didn’t expect to lose the game.
Track News reports that two goals from Messi and Enzo Fernandez gave Argentina the victory over Mexico.
Speaking after the game, Messi said at his post-match press conference, “We lived with discomfort given the defeat in the opening match was something we did not expect.
“The days felt very long, and we were eager to have the chance to turn it around.
“Luckily, we had the option to win, and it was a weight off our shoulders, a reason for joy and peace of mind because it’s all down to us again.”
He continued: “I tell people the same thing that they continue to believe. Today we did what we had to do, we had no other choice
