World Cup: I’m happy for him – Messi names ‘very important’ player in Argentina squad
Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has identified midfielder Enzo Fernandez as a ‘very important’ player in the Albicelestes squad.
Messi said he is very happy with the Benfica star, describing him as a spectacular player.
The Paris Saint-Germain star said this following Argentina’s World Cup 2-0 win over Mexico on Saturday.
Argentina defeated Mexico in their World Cup Group C second game at the Lusail Stadium, thanks to two goals from Messi and Fernandez.
“Enzo is a very important player for us. I am very happy for him,” Messi said at his post-match press conference after the game
