EasyJet flight from the United Kingdom to Poland has been diverted to the Czech Republic due to a report of a ‘possible bomb’ on board.

The EZY6276 flight from Krakow to Bristol was an hour into its two-and-a-half-hour flight when it landed at Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport at 10:50pm on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

“There was reported a possible bomb on board an aircraft,” Prague Airport tweeted.

“The Czech Republic Police is currently carrying out all actions to ensure the safety of passengers and all air traffic.”

Czech police said “pyrotechnicians” were dispatched to the scene to investigate the report.

Passengers were reportedly taken off the plane while police investigators conducted a search.

Officials at Prague Airport later stated that “no dangerous object was discovered on the plane following the pyrotechnic inspection.”

“[We] can confirm that flight EZY6267 from Krakow to Bristol yesterday evening was diverted to Prague purely as a precautionary measure,” an EasyJet spokesman said.

“The flight was delayed overnight in Prague, where customers were given hotel accommodations and meals, and it will depart later today.”
