APC formed a committee to investigate fake news and allegations leveled against Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Canada Chapter has formed a committee to combat fake news and propaganda against the party’s Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
According to Track News, the chairman of the APC Canada chapter, Omololu Apata, stated this in a statement on Tuesday.According to Apata, the party in Canada decided to form the committee in response to a series of allegations, misinformation, and blackmail directed at Tinubu on social media.He claimed that many false allegations and stories about Tinubu had been spread on social media in recent times, emphasizing that the committee would counter any social misinformation.”Aside from financial and material contributions in this election, we are in the process of establishing a committee that will be dedicated to the debunking of social media misinformation directed at our party and its presidential candidate,” he said.”With so much at stake in the upcoming elections, it’s not surprising that, in desperation, some people have turned social media into a harbinger of slander and blackmail.” The committee’s role, among other things, will be to counter any lies or misinformation directed at our main candidate with facts that will invalidate their web of lies.”Apata stated that the party will continue to maintain and sustain the continuity required to leave an indelible footprint of growth, development, and stability for future generations.The APC chieftain stated that the chapter had been contributing resources to ensure the party’s victory in the upcoming presidential election.”We are determined to do even more in the current political dispensation to ensure that our great party maintains and sustains the continuity required to leave an indelible footprint of growth, development, and stability in Nigeria for generations yet unborn.””We are also fortunate to have Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu, a transformative and visionary politician, as our flagbearer.” We are already making an impact in Nigeria by collaborating with and supporting the Diaspora Directorate, which is ably led by Prince Ade Omole.”It is also fantastic to have a prominent member of the APC Canada Chapter, Dr. Abiola Oshodi, on the presidential campaign council.”
