‘Why is it difficult for Yorubas to support Peter Obi in 2023?’ – Fayose, Isaac

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has explained why it is difficult for Yorubas to support Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Fayose stated that Igbos do not trust Yorubas, making it difficult to support Obi’s presidential ambition.

He lamented that, despite personally contributing to Obi’s campaign, they still don’t trust him.

“Supporting Peter Obi is so stressful for a Yoruba person,” Fayose wrote on Facebook.

“How can I expect the Igbos to trust me when they don’t trust themselves?”

“I gave my hotel, my time, my money, my food bank, and my space.” They continue to abuse me on a daily basis.”

Obi has received widespread support from Nigerians throughout the country, including the Southwest.

Fayose recently stated that All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu leads the pack of presidential contenders.

Tinubu, according to Fayose, is leading other candidates because Igbos are refusing to cooperate.

He predicted that the Southeast’s sit-at-home order and the Biafra agitation would relegate Obi.
