Nnamdi Kanu Reacts to Attacks in the South East, Sends Message to Victims

Following an increase in attacks in the country’s South East, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed concern about the situation.
According to Track News, the Special Counsel to the IPOB leader, Aloy Ejimakor, announced this on Monday, December 12, 2022, via his Twitter handle.
Kanu, according to Ejimakor, lamented the spate of attacks in the South East during a routine meeting with some members of his legal team at the Department of State Service (DSS) in Abuja.
According to the lawyer, the IPOB leader expressed sadness over the region’s deteriorating security situation and strongly condemned the attacks across Igboland.
Ejimakor went on to say that the Biafra agitator sympathized with the victims of the attacks and expressed his condolences for the attack on his hometown over the weekend.
“Update: I had a visitation with MNK today,” he wrote. He learned of the recent staggered attacks across Southeast, including one in my hometown, with great sadness.
“He asked me to strongly condemn the attacks on his behalf and express his condolences to all victims.”
Imo: IPOB Members Are Responsible For INEC Office Attack – Police
The Imo State Police Command has announced that IPOB was responsible for the attack on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State.
Remember how some unknown gunmen attacked the INEC headquarters in Owerri, Imo State? The incident that occurred on Monday resulted in the deaths of three suspects.
The attack targeted the Election and Party Monitoring (EPM) Department, but no critical election material was destroyed.
Speaking on Channels Television, the Command’s spokesman, Mike Abattam, stated that the gunmen who attacked INEC’s office in the state were members of IPOB.
According to Abbatam, investigations into the incident revealed that the proscribed group was responsible for the attack.
