Panic over sporadic shooting at Nnamdi Kanu’s country home
There was panic at the Isiama Afaraukwu area of Umuahia, Abia State, the county home of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafran, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Saturday following a reported sporadic shooting in the secessionist’s home.
Kanunta Kanu, a younger brother to the IPOB leader who confirmed the development in a tweet on his official Twitter handle, accused officers of the Nigeria Police of invading his father’s home.
The tweet reads, “this intimidation by @NigerianPolice in my family home got to stop. Don’t remind us of 14:09:2017. Stay away from my family I warn”.
According to reports, a detachment of police personnel stormed the entrance gate to Kanu’s father’s palace and shot sporadically.
An eyewitness simply identified as Michael, told Vanguard that the police personnel who drove in in a Hilux, came from the gate of the Commissioner of Police in the neighbourhood.
