2023: Were We Wrong When We Said The Man Was Seriously Ill? – Shekarau Commentates On Tinubu And Atiku’s Word War

Shekarau made the statement in response to the ongoing feud between the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is led by Atiku Abubakar.

Shekarau told reporters in Kano on Sunday at a Tertiary Students’ “SignUp for Atiku/Okowa Presidential Contest” event organized by former agriculture minister Hajiya Baraka Sani that the war of words between the two parties was uncalled for.

He however insisted that the APC flag bearer is not qualified to lead the country in view of his situation which is apparent.

“Did we get it wrong when we said the man is seriously ill or unstable in his activities? “How can you vote for someone like this as your number one citizen?” he asked.

Speaking about the initiative, Hajiya Baraka Sani stated that over 50,000 students have signed up for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Election in Kano alone, and they are doing so on their own, without any bias from anyone.

She believes Atiku’s endorsement is automatic because all sectors of human endeavors are doing it in Nigeria, and that students are the most recent on the list.
