A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain confirmed on Thursday that the main opposition party’s five disgruntled governors have decided to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
According to a source who spoke with Punch, the governors known as the G-5 have reached agreements and made decisions.

The Governors, according to the source, will announce their preferred presidential candidate in January.

The people will also be informed of the governors’ decisions, according to the source.

This comes after Tinubu met with the five governors in London, England.

“Agreements have been reached and decisions have been taken,” a source said of the meeting’s outcome. The announcement is scheduled for January. The public will be made aware of the decisions that have been made.”

Speaking on the outcome of the meeting, Bayo Onanuga, the Media Director of the Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign council, said that aside from knowing that the governors were supporting his principal, he had no idea about their alleged conditions.

“I don’t want to speculate on this issue,” he said. I’m not sure what was discussed. But I know the G-5 governors support Bola Tinubu. I’m afraid I can’t go any further.

“After all, the governors have stated that their preferred candidate will be announced in January. “Why not just wait for them?”
