EPL: I love watching them play – Carragher reveals team he wants to win title

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has admitted that he wants to see Arsenal win the Premier League title this season.

Mikel Arteta’s men came into 2023 top of the league, seven points clear of Manchester City in second spot.

The Gunners, who narrowly missed out on a top four place last season, haven’t won the league since the 2003/2004 campaign.

But Carragher is backing them to do it this year.

He said: “I would love to see Arsenal win the Premier League.

“Look at the start of the season they’ve had: one defeat, one draw and the rest they’ve won – and that defeat they didn’t deserve to lose.

“It’s good to see a different team up there, a different story. I really like what Mikel Arteta has done.

“I love watching his team pay. They’re young players, have lots of energy, it’s exciting and it’s fast. When they’re on TV, you want to watch them. I would love them to go on and do it.”

Arsenal host Newcastle next on Tuesday, while Manchester City are away to Chelsea on Thursday
