PSG coach speaks on Mbappe becoming France’s new captain after Lloris’ retirement

Paris Saint-Germain boss, Christophe Galtier has said that forward Kylian Mbappe will be taking on “a huge responsibility” if he becomes France’s new captain following goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’ retirement from international football.
Galtier described Mbappe as a leader, adding that he is yet to speak with him about becoming France’s new captain.
Mbappe has already won 66 caps for Les Bleus, scoring 36 goals in the process.
The 24-year-old won the 2018 FIFA World Cup and scored a hat-trick against Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, but he painfully finished on the losing team.
The former Monaco star appears an obvious candidate, but he may not aspire to the captaincy, which Lloris held for ten years
