Lagos guber: Free us from tyranny – Bucknor-Akerele tells Obidients, Labour Party

Former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kofo Bucknor-Akerele, has called on the Labour Party (LP) supporters known as ‘Obidients’ to free the state from the “tyranny” of over 20 years.
Bucknor-Akerele made the plea on Wednesday at a press conference in Lagos where she endorsed Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the LP governorship candidate.
Recall that Bucknor-Akerele was a Deputy to Bola Tinubu, former Lagos Governor from 1999 to 2003.
She hailed the youths for coming out en masse to vote during the Presidential National Assembly elections held last month, stating that freedom has just begun for the state.
Please come out in your millions. We registered over seven million votes in Lagos State. What happened? We know the figure that they wrote for us is not the correct figure but I beg you all, all of you who have voter cards, come out and free us from the tyranny that we have been undergoing for the last 20 years and more.”
She added that Lagos has had “enough of rule by touts, urging the Obidients not to be intimidated by political thugs who might want to harm them
