Simi, D’banj, Obi Asika set for Nigerian Idol Season 8

Simi, D’banj and Obi Asika would return alongside the host, IK Osakioduwa, to preside as judges on the popular reality TV singing competition, Nigerian Idol, Season Eight series.
The return of the judges was announced in Lagos on Tuesday by MultiChoice Nigeria.
Following the success of the last edition that saw Progress Chukwuyem emerge as the winner of 100 million naira worth of gifts, the singers Simi and D’banj are coming for a second time, while TV personality IK Osakioduwa will be returning for a third time as the show’s host alongside Obi Asika, who also will be judging his third season.
The eighth season will premiere on 23 April, starting with audition recordings. Followers expect to be thrilled by performances from up-and-coming superstars.
The auditions and theatre week will air from 23 to 21 May. The live shows will begin on 28 May and end on 16 July
