‘Sweet victory’ – Israel Adesanya defeats Pereira to reclaim UFC belt
Nigerian-born UFC fighter, Israel Adesanya has described his victory over Alex Pereira as a sweet revenge.
Adesanya had knocked out Pereira to reclaim the UFC middleweight title.
One fierce punch from the Nigerian-born had knocked out Pereira’s lights and handed the belt back to Adesanya.
Speaking after the fight, the UFC fighter said the hunter had become the hunted.
In a post fight interview, the Nigerian-born said: “This is a sweet sweet victory and you know I have a sweet tooth. The hunter is now the hunted.”
Pereira had defeated Adesanya in their previous bout.
The 33-year-old suffered a shocking fifth round technical knockout loss to Pereira inside Madison Square Garden
