Tinubu returns to Nigeria today

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s President-elect, is set to return to Abuja today following his weeks-long vacation in France. This information was revealed by Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Publicity for the Tinubu/Kashim Shettima Campaign Organisation
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the incoming President of Nigeria, is returning to Abuja today after a well-deserved break in France that began in March. His media office previously stated that he traveled to Paris to rest and prepare for the lesser hajj in Saudi Arabia and the 2023 Ramadan fasting.
During his time away, Tinubu’s spokespersons noted that he would take advantage of the opportunity to plan his transition program while out of the country. However, contrary to his initial plans, the President-elect did not end up traveling to Saudi Arabia.
This latest news will put to rest any speculation regarding the President-elect’s whereabouts. The 71-year-old is expected to be sworn in as Nigeria’s new leader on May 29th.
