Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State announced during a press briefing that the campaign council would be dissolved since they would not be changing the governor-elect. He emphasized that the election was over and that there would be no more campaigning. Wike expressed his gratitude to the Director General and other members of the campaign council for their effort.

Wike made it clear that there would be no need for a campaign council since the election was already won, and the committee for the inauguration of the governor-elect and deputy governor-electoral would remain unchanged. He thanked the DGs and members of the campaign council for their hard work, which contributed to his impressive victory of not less than 98%.

The Rivers State Governor’s remarks came during a press briefing, in which he emphasized the finality of the election results and the unnecessary continuation of the campaign council. Wike’s decision to dissolve the campaign council was based on the conclusion that the election was over and that the governor-elect and deputy governor-electoral committee would remain unchanged.
