NBC grants Poly Ibadan licence to operate radio station
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has granted The Polytechnic, Ibadan, licence to operate a radio station.
The institution made this disclosure via a statement signed by its Registrar, Mrs Modupe Theresa Fawale.
It was gathered that the institution was given the licence to operate Poly Ibadan FM radio station.
The right to operate the radio station was conveyed to the institution through a letter from the
NBC with reference number NBC/SEC/LIC/19/VOL.iv dated May 22, 2023.
The letter, addressed to the Rector of the institution, Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi, was signed by Igomu Onoja, secretary to the commission on behalf of the Director General of NBC.
Fawale said, “The right to operate the FM Radio station was conveyed to the Institution through a letter from the NBC with reference number NBC/SEC/LIC/19/VOL.iv dated May 22, 2023 to the Rector of The institution Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi.
“The letter signed by Igomu Onoja, secretary to the commission on behalf of the Director
General noted that the licence was a temporary one pending the time all the required payments
would be made by the institution for the application for operating a radio station submitted to the
commission.”
