Two tricycle armed robbers burnt alive in Anambra community
Two out of a four-man tricycle, (Keke), armed robbery gang were on Sunday, at Limca road, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, burnt alive by angry mob.
According impeccable inside sources trouble started for them when they reportedly robbed the owner of sienna car of his possessions along Umuoji road at gun-point.
Among the items removed from him included, money, handset, necklace, wristwatche, wallet, among others.
After robbing him of those items they allegedly sped off with their tricycle even as the victim trailed them up to Nkpor motor park and hit the tricycle into a drainage system, shouting, armed robbers! armed robbers, which attracted the attention of passers-by, street traders and local vigilante group.
As they started running for safety, the mob pursued them and arrested two along the Limca road, where they were immediately set ablaze alive while two others escaped.
Among the items recovered from them included, tricycle used for the robbery, two guns, all items removed from their victim, the sienna car owner and other undiclosed items that may have been gotten from other robbed victims.
As at the time of filing this report, the burnt corpses of the two armed robbers littered the portion of the ground where they were set ablaze.
