Bring The World Cup Home. I’m Sure 99.9 Percent Of Nigerians Will Watch You – Oluremi Tinubu To Falcons

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, commissioned the Super Falcons to win the FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand.
He made the allegation in Abuja on Saturday, when he hosted the team for dinner before their departure on Sunday for the tournament, which starts on July 20 and ends on August 20.
Senator Tinubu, who was represented by the National Women Leader of the APC, Dr. Betta Edu,said Nigeria’s appearance at the 9th FIFA Women’s World Cup must be for a noble cause: to bring home the coveted trophy. While drumming for the Super Falcons, he noted that football is an important unifier in the country and urged the team to work hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians.
“It’s important that you stay engaged when you play together as a team; no one should think that he is a better player than another.
“Only by playing as a team can you record success. I hope you will surpass your previous efforts this time.
“I am sure 99.9 percent of Nigerians will be glued to the television to watch you. Try your best to bring the World Cup home.”
Expressing her faith in the team’s abilities and pedigree to succeed at the World Cup, the first lady herself promised to welcome the team when they bring the cup home.
