Nurse sacked after she failed to call an ambulance when her secret lover patient di£d during car park ‘mekwe’
An NHS nurse who took part in a s£x¥al relationship with a patient failed to call an ambulance when he di£d in the back of his car with his trousers down during a s+xs, a disciplinary committee has heard.
Daily Mail reports that married Penelope Williams, 42, had been enjoying a year long fling with the dialysis patient when he s¥ffered a heart failure with his trousers down in a hospital car park while with her.
Ms Williams, who had hidden the relationship from her managers, failed to call 999 and instead rang a colleague who turned up and performed CPR. Now, the nurse has been struck off by the Nursing and Midwifery Council who warned she had “brought the nursing profession into disrepute”.
The panel heard Ms Williams started working for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales as a registered nurse in a renal haemodialysis unit in October 2019. Her patient – known only as Patient A – was one of the unit’s regulars. Ms Williams and Patient A began a s£x¥al relationship in January 2021 and she did not tell her bosses about it.
In January 2022, a colleague – known only as Colleague One – received a phone call from Ms Williams who was “crying and di§tressed” and asking for help because “someone had di£d”. The colleague told her to call an ambulance, but Ms Williams failed to do so.
The colleague later arrived where she met Ms Williams and could see Patient A in the back of a car with his “trousers down”. Colleague one went to check Patient A who was unresponsive, so she called 999 asking for police and ambulance before starting CPR, the panel heard.
Williams initially told cops that she only met the man because he messaged her on Facebook to say he was feeling unwell. In a formal meeting with her managers. She “denied any s£x¥al relationship” with the now-d£ad man and said she merely “sat in the back of his car for about 30 to 45 minutes” while “just talking.” She further explained that the patient started groaning and suddenly di£d,” according to a hearing of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). 📸: Wales News Service
