JUST IN: Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Orders Early Payment of July Salary

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has ordered the immediate payment of July salaries to all categories of workers in the state, including pensioners.
TrackNews Media reports that the directive was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s chief press secretary, Abubakar Bawa.
The statement said the early payment of salaries was in line with the governor’s campaign promises to civil servants of prompt payment of salaries.
It also said that the decision was taken in view of the fact that Eid-el-Kabir was observed barely three weeks ago and workers are now financially unstable.
The governor called on civil servants to reciprocate the gesture by being punctual and dedicated to work.
