They said we close our border & Niger also close its border; how did Sanusi get to Niamey?- Chuks Akunna

Chuks Akunna, Executive Director Authority newspaper, said Nigeria say we close its border against Niger and Niger also close its border, asking how did Sanusi Lamido Sanusi got to Niger.
Chuks Akunna asked the question in an interview with AIT during the Kakaaki program when he was reacting to the story of Sanusi’s visit to Niger to have conversation with the Niger military juntas.
“It is very interesting because, when they first sent me former Emir Sanusi’s photo with the head of military junta yesterday, I thought it was photoshopped, until I started seeing stories backing that. My first thought was, they say we close our border with Niger and Niger also closes its border with Nigeria, and you can’t fly to Niger and you can’t go by road, how did Sanusi get to Niamey in the first place. Does it mean Nigeria close its border to some people?”
Chuks said similarly, about this time last week, former head of state, Abdusalami Abubakar and Sultan of Sokoto returned from the same Niger republic where they met with the head of the military junta and had discussion.
He said what happened with Sanusi’s visit yesterday heighten the confusion because Sanusi is a private citizen. He said the confusion here is, who are the junta’s dealing with? He asked if they are dealing with former head of state, or dealing with former Emir of Kano
