Sagbama Council Boss Hon. Richman Visits Primary Health Car Centers (PHC) And Primary Schools In The LGA

●●Expresses dissatisfaction in the absence of Staff at their duty posts.

The Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Ebipade Richman, yesterday the 23rd August, 2023, paid an unscheduled visit to some Primary Healthcare Centers and Primary Schools in Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

The tour round the Primary Healthcare Centers and the Primary Schools which was embarked on between the hours of 8:00am and 10:30am, became necessary, as there were reports of Teachers and Healthcare Professionals not being present at their place of work.

According to the Chief to the Chairman Mr. Theophilus Dibiya said, Some of the Primary Healthcare Centers visited by the Council Chairman during duty hours were under lock and keys, while others were open with no single staff present in the healthcare facilities.

In some of the Primary Schools visited, even the Head-Teachers were not on sit, others had very low turnout of Teachers and a few of them had no single Staff present.

Expressing his dissatisfaction, the Council helmsman, Hon. Richman frowned at the attitude of workers not being serious with their jobs.

“It is worrisome how government will establish such critical and very vital institutions with so much importance and lots of money, yet workers are not present to render the services to the people”.

“It is regretting how our people are denied of the services that are targetted to the grassroot”.

Some of the Primary Healthcare Centers visited were:

– Primary Healthcare (PHC) Center, Ebedebiri.

– Primary Healthcare (PHC) Center, Bolou-Orua.

– Primary Healthcare (PHC) Center, Tungbo.

The Primary Schools Visited were:

– Community Primary School (CPS) I Ebedebiri.

– Community Primary School (CPS) II Ebedebiri.

– Community Primary School (CPS) Angiama.

– Community Primary School (CPS) Toru-Orua.

– Community Primary School (CPS) I, II and III Sagbama.

Arising from the visit, The Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Samuel Ebipade Richman has called to meet with the underlisted persons.
